PHOTOGRAPHERS were looking ‘snappy’ at Clarkston Hall recently.

The event marked the first time in several years that members of Eastwood Photographic Society had won the Renfrewshire Inter Club Competition.

Overall, eight clubs took part in the competition which was held in the hall on Wednesday, February 22.

And it was the Eastwood group which turned out to be the winners.

Almost 100 people attended the event which saw Eastwood win by a margin of six points from Paisley Photographic Club.

Judge Malcolm Allan LRPS from Kirkintilloch judges 64 images — eight from each club — and praised the very high standard of entries.

Eastwood’s top individual image was Buffalo in Conflict by Ken Lindsay, which was Highly Commended.

The special guest for the evening was East Renfrewshire provost Alex Mackie who made the presentations to the winning club and the author of the top individual photograph.
