Pensioner receives serious head injury in road collision.

Officers from the Police Scotland’s road policing division at Helen Street are appealing for witnesses after a man was struck by a car in Pollokshaws Rd, Glasgow on Sunday, January 10.

Around 5.30pm on Sunday evening a 69-year-old man was struck by a Suzuki Swift car as he crossed Pollokshaws Road near to Haggs Road.

The 69-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for head injuries. Hospital staff describe have described his condition as serious. The 48-year-old female driver of the Suzuki was uninjured.

Sergeant Nicky Taylor at the Road Policing Complex would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number on 101.
