A PAIR of southside pupils are set to take their first step to a career in Broadway, London’s westend, or perhaps, even Hollywood.

The Craigholme duo have been accepted into two of the world’s most prestigious drama schools, in London and New York.

Chloe MacGregor (16) has been offered a place on the dance and musical theatre course at the world-renowned Laine theatre arts school in London.

Chloe told The Extra: “I was so excited to be accepted.

“The audition process was tough — I had to perform a solo song, a dance and an acting piece as well as take part in a ballet, jazz and acting workshop.

“It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it.”

Chloe is one of eight students set to audition for the school’s Andrew Lloyd Webber scholarship.

Meanwhile classmate Brogan-Taylor Wilson (16) has been offered a place at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Brogan said: “It doesn’t quite seem real at the moment — that I will go from studying in Pollokshields to studying on Madison Avenue”.

Brogan used material from last year’s school play Too Fast in her audition, as well as Antigone which she performed for her SQA exam.
