Local charity, East Ren Good Causes announced their latest foodstore partnership last week when the Co-op in Newton Mearns signed up to assist.

The ER Good Causes store aims to support those in East Renfrewshire by targeting help at the people who are trying to help themselves or others around them.

Russell Macmillan, founder of ERGC said: “It is great to welcome the Newton Mearns CO-OP stores to the ERGC Store effort, where these donated goods are targeted by frontline workers, to those in our society who are trying to help themselves”

Lee Gibb, store manager at the Broom Shops Co-op and who will transfer to the new branch in Harvie Avenue said: “The existing and new Co-op stores are at the heart of our communities, and we are delighted to become business partners of ERGoodCauses and fully support the great work they do”

Other local businesses can also help support the work of ERGC by joining their business supporters section by sending their logo, brief narrative and contact details, all for a modest cost of £25 per month. If you trade in East Ren show that your business cares about the community.
