New Co-op makes Fairtrade donation to community cafe

As part of the new Co-operative in Harvie Avenue’s aim to be involved in the local community, the store’s team manager, Ryan Keys, popped into the Oasis Café in Newton Mearns Baptist Church with a donation of Fairtrade products.

The Co-operative was the first major retailer to champion Fairtrade and continues to be a huge supporter of the initiative.

All the foods used in the Oasis Café, run by volunteers from the local community, come from a Fairtrade source, and the Co-operative in Harvie Avenue was delighted to help by donating Fairtrade products from the extensive selection it will be stocking in the new store which is scheduled to open on Thursday, May 12.
