Christmas is Royal Mail’s busiest time of year and Jackson Carlaw MSP saw the hard work and dedication of postal workers who sort and deliver festive mail, when he visited the delivery office in Clarkston this week.

Mr Carlaw was shown around by manager, Andrew Hicks, and was introduced to the postmen and women as they prepared for the days deliveries.

The Conservative deputy leader said: “It was great to meet the postmen and women at the Clarkston delivery office and see first-hand just how much effort they put into ensuring local residents receive their letters and parcels, especially during the Christmas period.

“Our postal workers do such an important job at this time of year and I would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them all the best over the festive season.”
