Missing prisoner is found
Missing Bellshill prisoner Tony Ferri has been arrested in his home town, police announced today.
The 33-year-old, of New View Drive, made off from St John’s Hospital in Livingston nearly two weeks ago. He was serving a five-year sentence at Addiewell Prison for crimes including housebreaking and assault.
Two guards who had been escorting him on a visit to the hospital were injured.
Ferri will appear at Livingston Sheriff Court tomorrow (Wednesday) in connection with the incident.
Police thanked the public for their assistance during the investigation to find him.
