A selfless young lady is travelling to Ethiopia to help those less fortunate than herself by helping build educational facilities.

Megan Gorst (15) is taking part in the trip organised by her school, King’s Park Secondary, in the summer of next year, 2017.

Megan needs to raise £3000 for the trip and she and her family are currently raising this sum by a number of various fundraising methods.

The next one is a Partylite Candle Party, being held in King’s Park Parish Church, on Tuesday, November 22, at 7pm. A chance to stock up on candles for Christmas or a nice present for your friends.

Following that, the next event is a craft fair, in the same church on Saturday, November 26 from 1 till 4pm, again a chance to get a unique present for friends. Tables include cup cakes, cards, knitted goods and all manner of other crafts.

Not only would your attendance be supporting Megan on this very special adventure into the Horn of Africa, but in turn you will also be helping others who are much less fortunate.
