McKenzie Hairdressing in Newton Mearns is celebrating after winning one of only four coveted places in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards 2016.
The only salon in Glasgow to have succesfully managed to get through the Scottish heats now move on to an even more difficult stage of the competition.
The team, lead by Megan Boyle fought off strong competition and wowed a panel of high-profile award winning judges with their Autumn/Winter 2016/17 fashion inspired look. The team will now have the chance to compete at the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Grand Final event in London which could see them winning the overall award.
Across three weeks in April, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy regional heats took place in nine regions.
Now, after 1000 initial entries and 540 regional finalists later, McKenzie Hairdressing is one of just 36 nationwide salons who will now compete to win The L’Oréal Colour Trophy Award.
On Monday, June 13 the team will have to complete one final challenge to win the prestigious award as they compete against the winners from the other regions for the top title.
The Grand Final show promises a thrilling and inspirational evening featuring spectacular hair shows by some of the industry’s most illustrious names in hairdressing followed by a five course dinner and the awards presentation.
The overall winners from the competition will be awarded a once-in-a-lifetime prize which includes a three-day European trip with a photo shoot to showcase their winning look, a fashion shoot with a leading consumer glossy magazine.
