One Glasgow, many cultures — that’s the message at a colourful cultural event in Glasgow later this month.

Many Cultures Make Glasgow takes place on February 27, with ethnic minority communities across Glasgow performing — and showing off the city’s multicultural credentials.

The day will be led by Maryam Hamidi of River City fame, with performances from the Maryhill Integration Network Dancers, Govanhill-based folk band E Karika Djal, Women’s African and Caribbean Centre and Ricefield Arts Centre, as well as pupils from Hyndland Primary school and the dancers from Bellahouston Academy.

Food and information stalls will also be on offer at the free event, running 10am-1pm at the banqueting hall, Glasgow City Chambers — but people must register before heading along at www.eventbrite.com.
