U3A illustrated talk will be on the Villages of Glasgow

THE next monthly meeting of East Renfrewshire U3A will be held on Wednesday March 20 at 2.30pm in Newton Mearns Parish Church, Mearns Cross.

The guest speaker will be Douglas Keith who will give an illustrated talk on Villages of Glasgow. The U3A continues to grow in numbers and in interest groups.

If you are retired or semi-retired and want to make new friends and pursue  new interests then the U3A could be  for you.

Run by retired people for retired people, the U3A have in recent months added to their growing number of interests group with a gardening group, a science and technology group and a soapbox discussion group.

To join, just go along to the monthly meeting and complete an application form or email the membership secretary at majella@angelic.com.
