The cycle of success

editorial image

MORE than 60 youngsters and their parents got on their bikes recently as part of Cycle Saturday.

The event, organised by Clarkston BID with support from Cycling Scotland and East Renfrewshire council, encouraged families to don their cycle helmets and explore the area.

Coaches were on hand to help with cycling skills, including tackling a challenging timber mountain bike trail at the Mearns Road play area in Clarkston.

All participants received a free I Love Clarkston loyalty card, giving them access to discounts from businesses across the area involved in the BID scheme.

The fun isn’t over, as more cycling events are planned for spring and summer next year – details of these and other Clarkston BID events can be found at www.iloveClarkston.com.
