Speed bumps suggested for Shawlands

MEASURES to slow down speeding drivers are being considered for the Waverley Park area.

The residential streets adjacent to Shawlands Cross may soon have speed bumps installed, in a bid to reduce speeding traffic.

The proposal includes speed humps on Norham Street, Durward Avenue, Dinmont Road, Ravenswood Drive, Midlothian Drive and St Ronan’s Drive, as well as speed cushions on Moss-side Road.

Glasgow city council are due to launch a consultation on the proposals, and will contact residents by letter to ask them to complete a questionnaire, in order to garner the level of support from the community.
