A South Lanarkshire takeaway has been handed a new "improvement required" food hygiene rating.

Douglas Takeaway Ltd t/a Spice of Life, a takeaway at 5 Main Street, Douglas, Lanark was given the score after assessment on February 3, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of South Lanarkshire's 147 takeaways with ratings, 99 (67%) have pass ratings and 48 (33%) require improvement.
