Ready, set, read

LIBRARIES across East Renfrewshire are urging residents to get involved in a Six Book challenge.

The national campaign aims to involve reluctant readers in the world of literature, and ERC-run libraries are taking part for the 2012 competition, which began earlier this month.

Participants will receive reading diaries and six book challenge pens, as well as the chance to enter a prize draw at the end.

First prize is a weekend in London for two. Including tickets to a show and £150 spending money.

To qualify, readers must complete six books in six months, and the last date to register is February 27.
