Person hit by train by Patterton station

A PERSON has died after being hit by a train at Patterton railway station.

A spokesman for British Transport Police confirmed that the incident was reported at 2.40pm, and added that there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances at present.

No further details have been released.

Trains running between Glasgow Central and Neilston were affected, starting and terminating at Cathcart until 4pm when all rail lines reopened.

A ScotRail spokeswoman apologised for any inconvenience caused.
