THE mum of a tragic toddler who died after falling from the third floor window of a block of flat has spoken of her grief.

Elayne Wallace’s son, Caleb, fell from the third floor of the building in Pollokshields at around 10.20am on Friday.

The four-year-old was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, but died shortly after arriving.

In a statement issued by Strathclyde Police, mum Elayne said: “This tragic accident has taken my beautiful prince from me and my family.

“I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and their tributes to Caleb, but I ask that we be left alone to grieve in private and come to terms with our devastating loss.”

The accident happened on St Andrew’s Drive.

Police are investigating the incident.
