House break-ins in Newton Mearns

FOUR homes have been broken into over the weekend in Newton Mearns.

There had been a spate of break-ins over East Renfrewshire recently, though police stress they are not necessarily related.

A man was arrested and charged last week in relation to a break-in in the Stamperland area.
