Fatal road crash appeal
A WOMAN has died following a road crash in Barrhead last week.
At around 3.40pm on Thursday (February 14), the 69-year-old was driving a Honda on the A736, Lochilbo Road.
Her car collided with a Peugeot being driven by a 61-year-old woman, and both drivers – as well as a female passenger (72) travelling in the Peugeot – were taken to the Royal Alexandra hospital, each for treatment to serious injuries.
The 69-year-old sadly died a short time later.
The other two women remain at the Paisley hospital, where medical staff describe both as in stable condition.
Sergeant Andy Johnston, of the divisional road policing unit in Pollok, has asked anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
Anyone with information can contact him on 532 5600.
