East Renfrewshire residents deserve a round of applause, as Macmillan’s Bags of Support project reports a whopping 64,000 items collected in just nine months.

The kerbside collection service allows residents to donate their unwanted household goods on arranged pick up days.

The efforts of generous East Ren residents so far mean that Clothes Aid has been able to collect over 16 tonnes to raise funds for the cancer support charity.

Official teams are now posting 2014/15 collection calendars and bags in the area — so look out for the team in your neighbourhood.
