Croftfoot caller robs elderly man

POLICE are warning residents to be on the look-out as a bogus caller hit the Croftfoot area.

On Monday night a man approached an elderly residents’ home claming to be from the gas board.

He worked his way into the elderly man’s home on Glencroft Road and stole a quantity of cash.

The man is described as aged between 30 to 35 years, about 5ft 6ins in height and of stocky build.

He was wearing an oil-stained high-visibility jacket and a grey, ‘trapper’-style hat covering his ears.

If anyone can help with this incident, they are urged to call Cathcart police office on 0141 532 2000.
