Chef admits to murdering partner

A CHEF has admitted murdering his partner in their Shawlands home after she told him she wasn’t hungry.

Peter Cumming (58) appeared at the High Court in Glasgow accused of killing Lynda Brown (63) on September 1, 2012.

The court heard that the accused had previous convictions for domestic abuse against the victim.

The pair had planned a dinner party on the night of Ms Brown’s death, and invited two friends to the southside home.

Cumming claimed that he returned from buying ingredients and Ms Brown told him she had already eaten, which made him “really angry”.

Cumming will face sentence, from judge lord Bannatyne, next month.
