Capelrig Road reopens

COMMUTERS in East Renfrewshire will be happy to hear that Capelrig Road in Newton Mearns has now been fully opened to all traffic.

A section of the road had been closed between Patterton roundabout on Stewarton Road and the roundabout adjacent to Bluebell Drive from January 17.

East Ren council said the closure was “necessary to facilitate the safe operation of urgent building safety works being carried out within the development site adjacent to this section of Capelrig Road following fire damage”.
