COSGROVE Care is on the lookout for adventure-seekers to take part in a charity challenge.

The Giffnock-based charity — which supports adults and children with learning disabilities and mental health problems — has signed up staff and supporterss for the National Three Pearks Challenge on May 25.

The aim is to walk the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales — all within 24 hours.

Community fundraising officer Nicola Walsh told The Extra: “This is a new type of fundraising activity for us and I’m expecting it to be popular.

“I think it will be a challenge, it will encourage camaraderie and there should be a few laughs along the way.

“We’ll have qualified mountain leaders, transport between the three peaks and accomodation for a much-needed sleep!”

Anyone interested in joining can find out more by contacting Helena Winocour on 620 2500 or hwinocour@cosgrovecare.org.uk.
