Glasgow musician Charly Houston heads up a showcase at Broadcast this Sunday (Apr 19) with Gay as Folk.

The event will feature 13 LGBTI musicians, all putting aside uncomfortable pronoun usage and demanding respect for performers of all sexualities, genders, shapes and sizes.

Charly explained: “We also want to promote that pay to play is not okay — everyone involved in the event will receive a fee. We are also in partnership with Pride Glasgow, who will be bucket-shaking and scouting the stage for the festival in August.”

Seth Corbin heads Sunday’s line up alongside DANI, Erin Vivers Ferguson, Lynnie Carson, Beatland, Laurence Made Me Cry and more.

Gay as Folk runs 6.30-11pm, followed by a club night until 2am. Tickets are £5 advance/£6 on the door.
