Clarkston residents are getting the chance to find out more about the latest developments to build a new home for Glasgow’s Hospice in Bellahouston Park.

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is hosting an information evening at Clarkston Hall on June 6 from 7-8pm with updates as well as the expansion of hospice services.

Rhona Baillie, hospice chief executive, said: “We want to make sure everyone in the local community is kept up to date with the latest news from the hospice. This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to meet staff, find out exactly what the new hospice will look like and what it can do for them and their families.

“In the past five years the hospice has cared for more than 2000 patients from East Renfrewshire. As well as offering free person-centred and family focused palliative care to those living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, the hospice also opens its arms to offer care and support to family members.”

The total of the £21million Brick by Brick Appeal to build a new home for Glasgow’s Hospice has now reached £19.6m. To donate £5, text BRICK to 70660 or online at www.ppwh.org.uk/donate.
