Kirsten Oswald MP joined thousands across the country in hosting an event for the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
And, her very successful coffee morning raised £305 for the charity.
Kirsten and her team poured coffee and sold cakes all morning at their constituency office in Thornliebank. Visitors from neighbouring businesses came to eat, drink, chat and raise money for this important cause.
Speaking to The Extra, Kirsten said: “I really enjoyed hosting our Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was great to see so many people coming together to support such a valuable cause.
“People were very generous, including those who baked and donated cakes. I’d like to thank everyone for their kindness.
“A cancer diagnosis has a profound impact on families, and the support offered by Macmillan nurses is invaluable. Their dedication and compassion make the worst of times a little easier to bear, and I am glad we have been able to support their work.”
