Kids help create wildflower meadow

Tots from Barrhead’s McCready Centre teamed up with members of Barrhead Community Council this week to help create a wildflower meadow on the empty space at the front of the Foundry building.

The fast-growing flowers should be in bloom later this summer, with the help of Stalled Spaces Scotland funding.

The organisation supports projects that bring underused green spaces, stalled developments sites or vacant and derelict land back in to temporary use for the benefit of local communities.
