Fans of The Beautiful South will be flocking to the O2 ABC on Wednesday as two of the 90s group are reunited.
The others may have gone on to form The South — but for Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott, it seems that two is the magic number.
Their new album What Have We Become retains that same social commentary on modern day Britain — but perhaps most important is that same chemistry behind the original hits.
Paul commented: “Working with Jacqui again was like going into your garage and discovering a beautiful, covered up Rolls Royce that hadn’t been started in years.”
Wednesday’s (May 21) gig will include the new songs, not to mention tracks from The Beautiful South and The Housemartins — for info, visit www.gigsandtours.com.
