HEALTH and care questions will be answered at a special event held in Clarkston halls this week.
East Renfrewshire’s community health and care partnership (CHCP) is hosting the event, offering information and advice on services, as well as inviting views on proposals for the new Eastwood health and care centre.
Strathclyde fire and rescue will be on hand to provide information on safety-proofing homes, and they can also arrange home vists and fire safety checks, as well as smoke alarm fittings.
Other stalls will include welfare rights and benefit advice, adult support and protection, occupational therapy, smoking cessation services, fostering and adoption and more.
Councillor Alan Lafferty, social work and health convener, said: “We’re encouraging people from across East Renfrewshire to find out more about the service the CHCP provides.
“We are very keen to get thoughts and comments on the proposed Eastwood health centre, so please tell us what you think.
“You can also comment on services and give your ideas about how these are shaped and delivered in the future”.
The event takes place on Wednesday, June 6, from 3.30 until 6.30pm. Anyone who needs assistance in attending – such as help with transport – can contact 577 8436 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
