Gold star for Age Concern

AGE Concern Eastwood has achieved Investors in People gold accreditation.

The dementia centre – which has provided day care and carer services for East Renfrewshire residents since 1993 – was awarded the accolade for its people management.

The facility joins less than 60 UK employers able to display the gold logo and plaque at the door.

Chair Joe Stubbs said: “I am proud to be able to relay this news, and feel so very fortunate and grateful to have such a centre of excellence on my doorstep”.

Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, added: “This is a fantastic achievement for Age Concern Eastwood Dementia Centre.

“I would like to congratulate the organisation and its people on their commitment to continuous improvement”.
