A LABORATORY project in the southside has won a government award.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s New South Glasgow Laboratory grabbed the prize from the Government Opportunities Excellence in Public Procurement Awards Scotland in the GO Sustainability and Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year section.
The team who delivered the New South Glasgow laboratory team project were also finalists in the GO Team of the Year award.
The project is sited within the grounds of the Southern General Hospital and is part of the £842 million new development at the hospital.
It has also has created 320 jobs and provided 154 young people with work experience placements.
