PARENTS and toddlers are invited to join the Play Talk Read bus in Thornliebank this week.

The colourful, interactive play bus is pulling into East Renfrewshire to encourage children to start their learning at an early age. The bus will be kitted out with games, DVDs, interactive books and a baby massage area, all designed with passengers aged three and under.

Mum of two Kirsty Kyles — pictured with Lewis (5) and Lauren (3) — has already signed up for a visit.

The Newton Mearns resident commented: “We all sit round the dinner table when we eat, and talk about what we’ve done that day. Every night I also read a bedtime story and sing Lewis and Lauren a lullaby.

“I’m going along to the Play Talk Read bus to find out more ways we can have fun together, to boost the children’s language and communication skills”.

n The Play Talk Read bus pulls into Thorntree Halls car park, on Spiersbridge Road, on Tuesday. The bus is free, and open 9am-5pm.
