Yet more roadworks are set to cause headaches for drivers.
Yet more roadworks are set to cause headaches for drivers.

Scottish Water is advising road users in part of the Govan area of some further road closures as they progress with work on the waste water network.

Part of the work involves the construction of a combined sewer overflow (CSO) and a new pipe to connect it to the main network.

These works are taking place on Govan Road, at its junction with Pacific Drive at the western corner of Festival Park.

This work is due to start on August 29 and is expected to take about five months to complete.

To enable the work to be carried out, a section of Govan Road which runs along the south side of Festival Park will be closed for the duration of the work. A diversion route will be in operation.

The road traffic management has been organised in liaison with Glasgow City Council’s roads department.

Scottish water have liaised with the bus company whose services will be affected and advise any affected passengers to leave extra time for their journeys as they progress this essential work.
