Glasgow’s first panto is a treasure of a tale

What do you get with Michelle McManus, Stephen Purdon (of Shellsuit Boab fame), Cat Harvey and Leah MacRae in the same place? A swashbuckling Christmas, it seems.

With a cast like that, it could only be the Pavilion’s annual festive pantomime, Treasure Island.

Follow Purdon as Jim Hawkins, a youngster who inherits a treasure map and embarks on the biggest adventure of his life — if Long John Silver will just stay out of the way, that is.

Forget Christmas carols — the first big panto of the festive season is more Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum, with dance stars and special effects galore to boot.

All aboard for Treasure Island from November 26 until January 18 — tickets £17.50-£22.50 from www.paviliontheatre.co.uk.
