Firefighters attacked in Law
At around 7.30pm, last Tuesday members of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue came under attack from local youths while dealing with a blaze at the park in Lawhill Road.
Fortunately, no-one was injured as a result. However, missiles thrown by the youths caused damage to the fire appliance, resulting in it being removed from operations to be repaired.

"Thankfully no-one was injured in this incident. However, if this mindless activity should happen again this could result in injury to personnel and a custodial sentence for those involved in this senseless act against their firefighters."
A firefighters spokesman said: "We deplore this attack and there must be people in the community who know the people who are responsible for it.
"We would urge them to contact the police or Crimestoppers."
