FAMILIES heading to The Avenue over Easter might win big as the shopping centre launches a festive competition.
The Newton Mearns centre is giving away 10 family tickets to the Heads of Ayr farm park, in celebration of an Easter Sunday visit from the mini farm.
From 12noon until 4pm, the shopping centre will welcome pygmy goats, lambs, Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs, rabbits and — of course — Easter chicks.
The petting farm allows children — and adults — of all ages to feed and hold the animals.
And to win the chance to visit them in their own surroundings — as well as the play areas, aerial runway, ringo sledging, tunnel land and castle at Heads of Ayr — families need only answer one question – what date does Easter Sunday fall on this year?
Entries are open from April 1-15, and forms are available throughout The Avenue.
The centre is also hosting a series of free children’s events throughout Easter, starting with a storytelling session at Waterstones on April 10.
The Tuesday session is for ages four to nine, followed by a pre-school event on Thursday, April 12.
Waterstones will also host a Lego swap shop on Saturday, April 14 — allowing young collectors the chance to swap any doublers or triplers in their Lego sets.
