Thursday, August 9

ENJOY a different workshop everyday at the Scotland Street School museum. Free to come along, various themes including drama, crafts, dance and sports for kids aged 5-11. Runs every day until August 16.

TEA and conversation with your Muslim neighbours at the WEC open community evening at the Woodfarm Education centre, 7-8pm. All welcome.

Friday, August 10

FUN and games with the free On Your Marks summer club at Neilston Parish Church, 6.30-8.30pm. Music, stories and activities for primaries 1-7, on for the last time today.

Saturday, August 11

EXPLORE optics and illusions at the Glasgow Museums Resource Centre today and tomorrow. Free fun for all the family, best for kids aged 5-11. Sat 11am-2pm, Sun 12-3pm.

Sunday, August 12

LEARN about plants, trees and how to identify them with the Garden Talk in Pollok Country Park, 1-3pm.

CHARITY football match between Giffnock Old North Crocks and an all-star celebrity team, kick-off 2pm at Giffnock North social club. Free.

FILMS for all the family at the Burrell Collection from 2pm. This season has an animal theme. Free admission.

Monday, August 13

HELP a good cause at the Bourock Parish Church volunteer evening in the building and the grounds, from 6.30pm.

Tuesday, August 14

MUSIC and games for little ones at Baby Bookbug today at Neilston library. Free.

Wednesday, August 15

EXHIBITION of paintings, pastels and prints by Jean-Francois Millet at the Burrell Collection. Free admission, runs until January 2013.
