GIFFNOCK North AAC’s Running Festival returns to Rouken Glen Park. 10k, 5k and children’s runs taking place from 5.30pm — £15 entry (£2 discount for Scottish Athletics members).

SOUTHSIDE Sessions is back at Sweeneys on the Park — free live music from 8.30pm until midnight.

Friday June 13

CANINE Capers — an event for dogs and their owners — runs at Whitelee Windfarm. 6-9pm leaving from the visitor centre - free event.

Saturday June 14

SUMMER fete at the Retail Trust in Newton Mearns. Family fun from 11am — free to join.

AFTERNOON tea fundraiser for St Aidan’s Church, Clarkston. Admission £6 from 2.30pm until 4.30pm. Includes a selection of homemade savoury and sweet treats.

SILVER Screen fun at The Bank, Neilston, with a new senior film club, this week showing High Society. 1.30-4pm, and entry (plus hot drink and traybake) is £2.

Tuesday June 17

FARRIER returns to Pollok Country Park to give the Clydesdales new shoes. Come along and see the farrier at work from 9.30am until noon — free event.

SUMMER concert from In Harmony community choir. The show kicks off at Giffnock South Parish Church from 7.30pm — adult tickets £5, children free.
