Rouken Glen Park has been awarded a four star rating by Visit Scotland.

The tourist attraction previously held a three star rating — and councillor Vincent Waters, environment convener at East Renfrewshire Council, is delighted with the news.

He said: “The park is going from strength to strength and in the last few months has undergone many improvements including a new children’s play park, path lighting, signage and information boards, improved access and a permanent exhibition in the pavilion.

“We have much to look forward to this year, including the restoration of the walled garden, an extension of the Glen Path and works to the pond.”
