FAMILIES in search of a day out with a difference need look no further than the Citizens’ Theatre this week.
The southside venue has teamed up with Scottish Opera to create two short shows with the whole family in mind.
The double bill features a cast of all ages and abilities, from professional actors and singers to amateur groups from the area.
Their first show, On the Rim of the World is inspired by the weird and wonderful questions children sometimes ponder — like what happens if the sky runs out?
Following is Dr Ferret’s Bad Medicine Roadshow — a gleefully gruesome take on Victorian moral fables.
Both operas are suitable for ages seven and up, and two daily performances leave plenty of time to fit it into your weekend (and the kids might enjoy it more thangoing shopping.
n A Tale of Two (Family) Operas at Citizens’Theatre is at 2.30 and 6.3pm Saturday and Sunday.Tickets £7.50p with family discounts from 429 0022.
