KIND-HEARTED pupils at Woodfarm high school have raised over £350 for a school in Malawi.

Over 150 first years set off on a sponsored walk around Rouken Glen park last week, joined by a group of parent helpers.

The youngsters raised a total of £470, 75 per cent of which will be sent to the Dambo school, in the village of Kaponda, while the rest will be added to school funds.

Richard Phelan, social justice manager at Woodfarm high, said: “We hope to be able to finance the construction of a new classroom with the money raised”.
