Eastwood MSP Ken Macintosh this week helped to organise a further meeting between the residents in Eaglesham affected by the explosion at the Polnoon development and Ed Monaghan, chief executive of Mactaggart and Mickel.
He also visited the site of the explosion and met with local residents to hear first-hand their concerns and the current situation with regards to compensation and insurance claims.
Speaking after the meeting, Ken told The Extra: “I was pleased the chief executive agreed to meet with local people to hear their upset and frustration first hand.
“This has been rumbling on for over two months now and the sooner the concerns of residents are addressed, the better for all involved.
“These claims need to resolved, properties fixed and local people able to get on with their lives without being left out of pocket”.
Mr Monaghan and Eaglesham residents have arranged to meet again in a month’s time to see what progress has been made.
