THE number of unemployed young people in Glasgow has fallen, a new report shows.
Figures revealed by the Office of National Statistics suggest that the number of 16 to 24-year-old claimants compared to last year shows a 14 per cent reduction.
The claimant count for March 2013 has fallen by 960 across the city.
Minister for Youth Employment Angela Constance said: “Supporting more young people into jobs is a top priority for the Scottish government.
“We are working hard to improve the employment options available and these very positive figures from Glasgow city demonstrate that our work and that of local authorities is producing results.”
