CROOKFUR primary pupils continue their fair trade crusade this week as part of Fair Trade Fortnight.

The school’s action team have planned lots of activities to raise awareness in the wider community, and on Friday neighbours are invited along to a tearoom to sample fair trade products.

The event runs 10-11am, and all are invited – pupils, meanwhile, will be dressed in blue, green and black, representing the colours of the fair trade logo.

Teacher Julie McCluskey told The Extra: “There will also be fair trade stalls, a raffle and a fair trade treasure hunt – so pupils may wish to save their pocket money to bring to school – and we look forward to welcoming everyone along.”

Fair Trade Fortnight began this week, and runs until March 10.
