A 16-year-old youth has been reported to the procurator fiscal for alleged vandalism, fraud and theft in Giffnock and Clarkston.

A 14-year-old boy, meanwhile, is the subject of a report that will be forwarded to the Scottish Reporters Administration for consideration.

The reports follow extensive enquiries by East Renfrewshire’s problem solving team, following which two people were arrested for alleged offences which included alleged theft from a car.

Sergeant Edward McLemon, Local Problem Solving Team, said: “I would like to take the opportunity to thank the community for their assistance and patience during the course of this enquiry.

“I would also remind the public, in light of the alleged theft from a car, to ensure that your vehicle is locked and secured when unattended especially at night.”
