TWO men have been arrested for the alleged rape of a teenage girl on a bus in the southside.

The 14-year-old was said to have been attacked on the upper deck of a number 57 bus in the Pollok area, Police Scotland has said.

The two allegedly pounced on their victim after she went upstairs on the bus. Her friend urged people on the lower deck to intervene.

A poice spokesman said: “Two men, aged 22, have been arrested in connection with an alleged incident.

“Media and public are thanked for their assistance with this appeal.”

Both men were expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
