Panel Practice Advisors (PPAs) play a critical role within Area Support Teams – those responsible for the delivery and administration of the Children’s Hearings System at a local level across Scotland.

Advisors are responsible for selecting and recommending panel members for appointment to the National Convener.

Positions are voluntary, with travel and out-of-pocket expenses reimbursed.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate good assessment, observation, interviewing and communications skills, as well as being able to regularly give their time to the Children’s Hearings System.

An information pack and application form can be found at http://www.chscotland.gov.uk/about-chs/vacancies/panel-practice-advisors-east-renfrewshire/.

If you would like further information or an informal discussion about this important role within the children’s hearings system within East Renfrewshire, applicants can contact the clerk to the East Renfrewshire Area Support Team on 0141 577 3016.

Completed application forms should be returned to Ron Leitch and Jennifer Graham by email at Ron.Leitch@childrenshearings.org.uk and Jennifer.Graham@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk by the closing date of October 21.
