Couple attacked in their home

A MAN has been stabbed after four armed raiders broke into his Thornliebank home.

The man (26) was in bed at his Kilmuir Crescent home with his 26-year-old partner when the men broke in around 3.45am on Sunday.

The men, aged between 30 and 40, then attacked the victim.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for injuries to his abdomen and arm before being released.

Police say they do not believe this to be a random attack.

Detective constable Craig Anderson of Pollok CID said: “This was a terrifying attack on a young couple within their own home in the very early hours of the morning.

“Although it is not believed that the attack was random, we are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the group of four men near to Kilmuir Crescent at the time of the incident or who may have heard anything suspicious at the time of the attack”.

If anyone has information which may help the police, they can call Pollok CID on 0141 532 5600 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
