Clarkston BID’s plans for the second annual Clarkston Food and Drink Festival include a food tent with three bars, demos and and market stalls.

But that’s just the outline of a day which is also set to see Clarkston Halls and its car park full of fascinating events and tantalising stalls.

The event itself is on Saturday, August 26, when most people are back from holiday and when autumn is on the horizon – so a large attendance is likely.

Suppliers both local and from farther afield will be showing off their high quality wares to an ever-appreciative local audience.

It’s undersstood there will be an area on the theme Healthy Clarkston, which will obviously concentrate on products and cooking tips likely to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Cookery demos will also feature in a demo tent, probably featuring some extremely talented chefs,
